Whistle Woods Schoolhouse offers 3 different preschool programme plans for children aged 18 months to 6 years old.
- Half-day: 8.45am to 12.45pm
- Extended half-day: 8.45am to 3.30pm
- Full-day: 8.45am to 5.00pm
As we are an ECDA-licensed preschool in Singapore, our operating hours are 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday. So parents are welcome to drop off their children earlier for breakfast, and full-day childcare children can be picked up past 5.00pm for parents’ flexibility. We operate our childcare centre all year round without school term holidays.
Our early childhood curriculum features a unique Waldorf-Montessori blend that fosters child-led discovery, experiential learning, and character building such as resilience and independence, all of which form an excellent foundation for Primary School and beyond. To ensure children comfortably transition to a local primary school (or any other international school), we are launching a holistic Primary 1 bridging programme in 2027 for our final year children that covers academic, psychological, social and physical readiness, while being mindful not to over prepare them.
As an ECDA-licensed private preschool, eligible Singapore Citizen families at Whistle Woods Schoolhouse can tap into Basic and Additional Childcare Subsidies to help lower monthly school fees costs. We pride ourselves on an all-inclusive preschool fee structure starting from S$1,6XX (before subsidies). Unlike other childcare centres and preschools where additional costs can stack up, our fees cover all enrichment activities, outdoor field trips, and everyday personal care items like insect repellent and wet wipes with no surprise invoices.
The short-term enrolment is suitable for 1) those looking for a short preschool trial experience to see if our school is the right fit for your child, and 2) those looking to keep their child meaningfully engaged in a holiday programme during their regular school term breaks. Children doing this short-term preschool enrolment with us for the first time need to be at least 3 years old. To help your child get the most out of their time with us, we highly recommend enrolling for a minimum of 2 weeks, as children may take the first week to get comfortable with school rhythms and routines before enjoying it more fully in the next week.
We maintain an optimally low preschool teacher-to-child ratio that exceeds ECDA requirements. Our teaching team consists of highly experienced, ECDA-certified early childhood educators with additional training in both Montessori and Waldorf pedagogies. For the younger childcare age group, our teacher-child ratio is 1:6, and for the older preschool age group, it’s 1:12. Our preschool teachers understand how to guide, step back, and foster a positive environment for learning and playing.
We use some organic ingredients in our childcare meals, though not all ingredients are organic. Our preschool kitchen is pork-free, but not halal. While we do not offer a dedicated vegetarian menu, we can substitute meat with extra vegetables and use vegetable stock instead of chicken stock for soups. Please note that our school kitchen is not nut-free. We can omit nuts from a child’s meal for mild allergies, but we are unable to accommodate children with severe environmental or airborne nut allergies.
Parents can schedule a private school tour or register for school enrolment by contacting our preschool admissions team via WhatsApp at +65 6816 6170 or filling out our online contact form.
